Our mission is to inspire campers in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. STEAM summer camps encourage campers to think creatively and innovatively, from brainstorming one-of-a-kind ideas to tackling complex problems with a broader interdisciplinary approach. With a focus on hands-on application and limitless thinking, campers develop an “explore and experience” mindset.

Future Architects

A hands-on introduction to drawing and architecture for kids 8 to 14

Architects play an important role in helping buildings, cities, and communities thrive. If you’re interested in architecture, Future Architect camp will introduce you to all of the most important terms and skills every aspiring architect needs. You’ll explore how ideas and drawings become real buildings and learn how architects see the world from new perspectives, including with a bird’s eye view, from the inside, and three-dimensionally.

In this camp, campers will enjoy:

Building basics―Learn about what distinguishes different kinds of buildings, and see examples of architecture from around the world and throughout history.
Fun activities―Engage in interactive exercises like planning a lush green roof or drawing your dream bedroom, so you can practice thinking like an architect.
Your first portfolio―creating an archive of your own architectural designs!

Get excited about how buildings come to be in a camp full of facts and activities.

Small Molecules Science Club

Designed for kids ages 5 to 8, Small Molecules Science Camp is full of messy experiments, explorations, and excitement! This camp is taught by passionate leaders that will introduce your child to physics, biology, chemistry and engineering. Camper will discover HOW things work, and WHY they work. STEAM Academy’s camps are know for skilled, high energy staff that know how to make the summer fun. Campers will begin to develop an enthusiasm and knowledge that will grow for years to come.

Edible Craft Kids' Camp

Deliciously fun edible art projects for kids ages 5 to 12

What’s cooler than making a masterpiece you can eat? The Edible Crafts Kids’ Camp will get little Picassos swishing, swirling, mixing, and molding in the kitchen as they create super fun art projects they’ll delight in and devour when they’re done.

This must-attend camp for kids will let them have their art and eat it too using:

Flavor-filled fun and learning―Kids will craft 25 sweet and savory delights from real food, everything from constellation cookies to monster-faced veggie cups. As they knead, frost, and measure their way through each recipe they’ll learn cooking and science skills. Simple instructions―Keep fidgety fingers busy and on task using simple steps and plenty of pictures that make it easy to see what you’re creating together. Edible art for all―Each activity is includes dairy free, gluten free, nut free, and vegetarian options.

This camp will spark creativity, teach invaluable kitchen skills, and inspire a lifelong love of food

Reading Warriors

Reading Warriors is an intervention program that helps struggling students in Grades K-2 and 3–12 become fluent and independent readers.

This program provides a lifeline to learners who are struggling to read by equipping them with the tools to become independent readers. Developing fluency, practicing spelling, and acquiring decoding skills is essential for improving student literacy. Reading Warriors uses these building blocks to achieve greater reading comprehension.

With its age-appropriate content and illustrations, Reading Warriors is designed to ensure that students feel comfortable and, more importantly, empowered by their foundational skills instruction.

Note: A 30 minute placement test is required before session begins. Please contact our center at 951-356-4165 to schedule a placement test after enrolling your child in this program.

Introduction to Coding Using Scratch

Scratch is a programming language where campers can safely program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world. As campers create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically.

STEAM Kids in the Kitchen

Ever wonder what makes bread rise, what molecular gastronomy means, or how a solar oven works? You’ll find out in this camp that teaches and excites with fun hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math projects. It’s STEM & STEAM made fun! This camp will get the kids having fun while learning in the kitchen.

Game Development Camp- Full Day

Learn to make what you like to play!

This Game Development camp teaches campers how to code their own video game. Campers will be introduced to a real programming language like Unity, Python, Java, Unreal Engine 4, or C#. No prior experience needed.

These Game Development camps allows campers the flexibility to choose which computer programming language they wish to learn, the choice is yours.

Campers can choose from the following camps:

Minecraft Coding (Ages 8+)
Roblox Coding (Ages 8+)
Unreal Engine 4 (Ages 11+)
Unity (Ages 11+)
Scratch (Ages 7-13)

Every Club or Camp will include the following:

Direct-instruction from a certified instructor
Real world programming languages
Optional assignments after every session

Unreal Engine Game Design Camp

Unreal Engine 4 Game Development Camp (Ages 12+)

In this camp, students will create their own 3D video games using the Unreal 4 Engine, one of the top professional game engines in the world.

Campers will learn both the basics of 3D game development and fundamental programming concepts using the Blueprint scripting system and the C++ programming language.

This camp is designed for beginner to intermediate students who are interested in both programming and game development using the professional grade tool used by top game development houses around the globe.

Kid MD: Medical Scientist

This innovative and hands-on science camp introduces campers to medical science taught by a real scientist.

Campers will explore life science careers, discover how different body systems work, learn about genetic engineering all while spending the day experiments and designing technology to improve life.

Cooking Camp

We interact with food every day. Without realizing it, we are exposed to dozens of mathematics and scientific concepts almost every time we prepare a meal! Food can be an exceptional tool for learning math and science for virtually all ages. Learning activities will include understanding biology, chemistry, microbiology, nutrition, and health while cooking and baking.

Stop Motion Animation

This camp contains everything you need to create, save and share your own amazing stop-motion animated movies. Animate using LEGO®, modeling clay, paper or toys, and recreate your favorite scenes from movies like Minions, Frozen and Star Wars in minutes. Learn the different techniques used to create stop-motion animation and discover how stop-motion animation can be used to bring inanimate objects to life.

Robotics Engineering & Programming

Course Description

In this robotics engineering camp, campers will start off learning engineering, problem solving, and programming skills. Using the VEX Robotics Design System, campers will build robots, participate in engineering challenges, and work both on their own and in groups. Campers will gain hands-on experience by learning to design their robots, program in ROBOTC, and participating in virtual and real world challenges.

STEAM Academy’s VEX Robotics camps guides students through the robotics build and competition process so that kids can experience the joy and fun of robotics while learning programming and engineering concepts. VEX is an ideal platform for campers to explore important STEM fundamentals and computer science concepts, and as such, campers will engage in a series of fun challenges that put their skills to the test.

LEGO Engineering

**All new system and projects for 2023**

Designed for curious kids ages 5-12, this 5 day camp is just right for inspiring future engineers. This all new camp engages students in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts while contributing to literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Campers will use everyday themes, relatable minifigures with different personalities and familiar LEGO^® building elements to solve problems through storytelling.

Minecraft Coding

Code what you like to play!

Campers will take their love of Minecraft to the next level with this awesome mod creation camp! We’ll use Java programming to create our own custom creatures and bring them to life in the world of Minecraft. Once created, we’ll add code to change the way our mob interacts with everything around them.

This camp will focus on the basics of writing and reading basic Java code. We’ll learn about important concepts like variables and functions while building projects that will amaze! By the end of the camp, students will have a familiarity with the code used to create Minecraft.

Topics Covered:

– How to modify code within Minecraft

– Discover the Java Programming Language

– Learn how mobs are added to the game

Every camp will include the following:

– Direct-instruction from a STEAM certified instructor

Unity Game Design

Using the Unity game design Engine with C# programming in Visual Studio, campers will create a 3D video game in Unity.

Unity is a powerful game development engine that enables developers to create high-quality 3D and 2D games. We will explore the best Unity games ever made. This Unity camp is sure to impress you with its stunning graphics and engaging gameplay.

ROBLOX Coding Camp

This camp will focus on the basics of using the Roblox Studio and writing Lua script, a great language for learning the basics of code. We’ll learn about important concepts like variables, conditional, and loops while building projects that will amaze! By the end of the camp, campers will be able to develop complex worlds and publish them to the Roblox website.
Topics Covered:
– Create and publish game to the Roblox Website
– Discover the Lua scripting language
– Learn how to create worlds with the Roblox Studio
